3D Design and Laser Cutting Class B
Hi, I’m Joanie and I’m going into 8th grade at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Literary and Fine Arts School. In this amazing class, I have learned so many things that can help me on later in life, as I aspire to be an engineer when I grow up. I have made two designs already during the first two days of this class. I designed a keychain for my best friend Mia. I used the 3-D printer to create this model. I also made a second keychain for myself using the laser cutter. In the laser cutter I used wood to cut the keychain out, but in the 3-D printer I used plastic. I am really grateful to Mrs. Kushner and Andrew for helping in the class. I am really excited for the rest of the class and hope for more kids to sign up next year for this great learning experience.

Hi, my name is Yusra and I‘m entering seventh grade next year at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Literary and Fine Arts School. So far in this super fun class, I have 3D printed a keychain with my name on it using a fun 3D printing website called Tinkercad. I can’t wait to do more fun stuff during this class. I am definitely signing up for this class again next year.

Hi my name is Kai, and I’ll be a seventh grader at Haven Middle School this year. I really enjoy this class because it really lets kids go beyond.
Hi, my name is Jonathan and I will be an 8th grader at Chute Middle School. In this class, I worked on making a 3D printed nameplate. It was my first time 3D printing. I think it’s cool because I’ve never seen a machine like this. I liked learning Tinkercad to build my 3D projects. I’m excited to use the laser cutter next.

Hi, my name is Ava and I’m going to be a seventh grader in a few weeks at King Arts. I have really loved this class, and it is going to help me when I am getting a job. In class, we have worked on 3D printing and laser cutting. We have also used Tinkercad to create objects to print. It has been a really fun and educational class. For 3D printing and laser cutting I made a keychain that says my name. They were really fun to construct! I really hope I can go to more activities with these resources. Overall, this class, the 3D printer and the laser cutter were amazing!
Hi, I’m Logan and I’m going to be in seventh grade at Chute Middle School next year. In this class I have been learning more about 3D printing and laser cutting. I have already prepared my 3D print design for the printer and am excited to laser cut soon. I made a keychain that says my name on it that I could put on my backpack for school. Hopefully the rest of the class is fun.
