What can we make using our school logo and mascot that would be useful?
10:00 Meet Kayla from the Evanston Public Library.
Intro to 3D Body Scanning and Skanect
10:00 Work on Project 2: Designs in Photoshop or with Pencil/Paper
10:45 Break
10:50 Save designs for printing
Use Makerbot Shape Maker to extrude designs and save files to our account
Create Tinkercad logins. Use svg converter and Tinkercad to add enhancements to designs.

Day 1
9:30 Ice breaker, Tour of MetaMedia
9:50 Team Challenge: Creativity Kit
What can your group create in 10 minutes using the creativity kit?
1. Create something with your group.
2. Give it a name.
3. Tell what your object does or how it can be used.
10:05 Team Presentations and discussion
10:35 Playing in Photoshop: using the drawing tablet and brush/fill tools.
10:55 Intro to Project 1 and Blog: Logo Idea Gallery
11:00 Break
11:05 Project 1: Logo Design with your Initials using Photoshop or Pencil and Paper
1. Sketch at least 3 logo designs with your initials.
2. Pick your favorite and outline with Sharpie.
11:30 Photoshop Group:
1) Save your sketches --> File- Save As- change format to .jpg
2) Use the Crop tool to crop your favorite logo. File- save as- yournamefinal.jpg
3) Use the online svg converter to covert your .jpg to .svg
4) On the bottom left, click the arrow by the downloaded file and press show in finder
5) Drag your .svg file to your folder
6) Go to Project Ignite. Click Classrooms then Join Classroom by Code.
7) Put in our code then create a login and password.
Pencil and Paper Group:
1) Open Makerbot Printshop. Select Shape Maker
2) Take a photo of your log.
3) Move the circle on the scroll bar to highlight your design
4) Press the check mark in the top right corner
5) Use the top option to extrude your design to 1/8 inch
6) Use the bottom option if you want to add a bottom shape layer to your design
7) Press Save to save to our Makerbot Account.
